Added appreciation
It makes sense to me that in the New Earth there will be added appreciation
for possessing what I now lack. So, by God's grace, what change do I most
look forward to in the New Earth?
Fear replaced by Love. No more will I dread whether someone will attack me
when I'm struggling and at my weakest. No need to work so hard on
protecting my flawed and needy vision of self to the point of missing out
on deep spiritual intimacy with every other child of God. Trust,
nurturance and celebration will be the initial understanding of every
relationship. And not only the motives of others, but self-motive will be
free from constant evaluation. The internal struggle of the old versus new
nature will no longer steal the lung capacity of spiritual life, for the
final glorification of Jesus will free me from every limit of my current
spiritual blindness. Then I can look forward to no more
tripping and falling, no more bruises and doubts. My own depth problems
will be gone. Every sin problem that has ever polluted me will be
permanently replaced by the divine love, grins, scars, hugs - the presence
of Jesus the Savior.

No more bruises and skinned knees
I have a severe sight impairment. I have no depth perception and
must use a white cane to walk anywhere except in the house. I am slowly going
blind in both eyes. I most look forward to SEEING! [monstrous grin]. No
more will I trip and fall over a dip in the ground, the curb, steps or a
crack in the sidewalk. I will be able to move around things instead of
running into them. No more bruises and skinned knees. [mega grin]

Greater depth in Eternity
When I was a teenager, I lost one eye when a bus I was in had an
accident. For the new earth, I am looking forward to seeing everything
with two eyes! And this gives me a big advantage over you people with
two eyes.
At the moment I don't have any depth perception, but all you two-eyed
people do. Now you may think this gives you the advangage. But when you
get to the New Earth, having depth perception won't be special for you.
But it will be for me -- and it will be special for Eternity [big grin].

Heaven is cheap enough
I think there are a number of *bad* things that happen in our lives that we won't find out about
until we reach heaven. In fact, when we get there, Mrs. White says when we are asked about them, we
won't recall them and end up saying "Heaven is cheap enough." The only thing we need to make sure of
while we are here is that the so-called *thorns in our flesh* are not being caused by our own selfish
living habits. Those kind of troubles we need to do something about for sure.

No more guilt
One change for me in Eternity will be a lack of guilt.
Last Sabbath we were told there
are only four basic motivators, one good and three bad. The four are:
Love, Guilt, Anger and Fear.
Fear and anger are no real problems to me -- but having said that, God,
I am not suggesting that you test me in these areas. But
my one bad stress causer is guilt. I don't have guilt about unforgiven
sin. But I have a huge guilt about not efficiently using my time for
God.
I have been working as a Bible translator since 1985. If I had used my
time more efficiently, I would not have the guilt I feel at this time
each year -- with another year gone and the project still not completed.
But in the New Earth, no guilt, not the slightest trace. And I feel good
about that.
